Nursing Assistant II

This Nursing Assistant II class is a 195-hour course offered in a traditional classroom setting. Students must be currently registered with the Division of Health Service Regulation (DSHR) Nurse Aide Registry. Students will learn advanced skill care and will be eligible to be listed on the North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Aide II Registry upon successful completion of the course.

Topics Include:

Oxygen Therapy

Suctioning

Sterile Dressing Changes

IV Fluid Assistive Activities

Ostomy Care

Gastrostomy/Nasogastric Feedings

Urinary Catheterizations

Tracheostomy care

Students must successfully complete the course, all skills test and pay $24 to be eligible to be listed on the Nurse Aide II Registry.

Feb. 17 - May 11 | Mondays through Thursdays from 8:20 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. | Honeycutt Center, room 125, Scotland County Campus | Tuition for this class is $180; fees for this class are $350.
