Income Maintenance Caseworker Phase 1 & 2
These courses cover the skills and strategies designed to provide skills training for a career in Human Services, with an emphasis on employment with the N.C. Department of Social Services (DSS). Students will learn how to use NCFAST, a software program used throughout the departments of Health and Human Services and departments of Social Services. RichmondCC will award 4 college credit hours in the Human Services Technology program to students who successfully complete NCFAST Phase 1 & 2.
Phase 1: Intro to Human Services
Students will be introduced to NCFAST, a software program that is used throughout the departments of Health and Human Services and departments of Social Services.

Phase 2: Income Maintenance Caseworker
The focus of this phase is to provide instruction and practice in processing Food and Nutrition and MAGI (Modified Adjusted Gross Income) applications. This phase improves the skills for both current and prospective Departments of Social Services employees

Has received notice of pending layoff
Is working and eligible for Federal Earned Income Tax Credit
Is working and earning at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
